Creating a Backup in Firefox

We recommend creating a backup of your S/MIME certificate, which contains your key pair, and storing it securely on a USB drive in a safe place.

The backup is saved as a .p12 file and can be imported into any email client that supports S/MIME encryption.

1. In Firefox, go to "Settings / Advanced / Certificates" and click "View Certificates".
2. Under "Your Certificates", you will see a certificate issued by "COMODO CA Limited ID".
   Select it and click "Backup" to save it as a file on your computer.
3. Enter a name for the file under "Save As".
4. Under "Location", choose where the file should be saved.
5. Define a secure password for the file and click "OK".

You can now import this file (.p12 file) into an email client to use your S/MIME encryption.
