Sending a fax
To compose a new fax, first click on "fax" in the upper left box.
An empty fax dialogue opens in a new tab.
Enter recipient
To be able to send a fax, you must have entered at least one valid recipient*. Type a valid fax number into the To field and press Enter/Return on your keyboard. If the entry is displayed in blue, it is valid, if it is displayed in red, it is invalid. Of course, you can also paste contacts from your address book into the To field or simply type their names into the To field. The auto-completion will make the appropriate suggestion if a fax number exists.
*Please remember that a fax number is valid if it is not a special number.
It must be an UK landline number!
Include cover sheet
If you want to send a cover page with your fax, tick the relevant checkbox. Here you can enter recipient information, sender information and a subject. Your sender information is taken from the details you entered during registration. You can, of course, edit this information. If you would like to permanently enter different sender information, you can do so in the settings mode under "Messages/fax/personal fax number". If you select a recipient with a valid fax number from your address book, his or her stored address information will be inserted. If there are several recipients, the field remains empty. You can of course make an entry in the field.
Enter message
You can enter as many characters as you like in the message field. However, please note that we charge for a fax per page sent.
Send attachment
If you want to send a document, you can either upload it from your computer by clicking on the "attachment" button, or you can select a document from your online storage. Each attached document occupies as many fax pages as the size of the document itself, but at least one page.
Show preview
If you would like to see your fax again as the recipient will receive it before sending it, simply click on "preview". A PDF document is generated from the message text and attachments, which you can save and view.
