Use of the free and paid contingent
Free contingent for contracts concluded before January 15, 2025
As a customer with a corresponding contract, you have a certain free quota of monthly free SMS depending on your chosen email package.
Unused quotas expire at the end of each month. It is not the calendar month that counts, but a period of 30 days.
- A free SMS can be a maximum of 160 characters long.
- It can only be sent to one recipient.
- Free SMS are always sent without sender identification.
- Sending a free SMS is only possible to mobile phone numbers registered in Germany, although the recipient does not necessarily have to be in Germany.
Important Notice: New email packages that apply from January 15, 2025 no longer include a free quota.
Payment contingent
If you top up your credit account, you have advanced functions available for sending SMS as well as for other services:
- SMS with sender identification: You can send SMS either with or without sender identification.
- Longer messages: If a message exceeds the length of 160 characters, a so-called chain SMS is automatically created. This allows you to send messages with up to 918 characters (6x153).
- Multiple recipients: Messages can be sent to multiple recipients at the same time.
- Additional services: The payment contingent also enables the use of further additional services.
